Since it was released to the public in November 2022, the education sector, and the organizations in general, they have been obsessed with the generative artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT. Much of the talk about this innovative chatbot application is about its ability to create seemingly "thoughtful" text on virtually any topic.
Now, Turnitin makes available to the educational sector a new tool of artificial intelligence writing detection, which will identify when students have used artificial intelligence software to write assignments. Teachers can then decide if they want to discuss this with the student. This is an anti-cheat tool that will be the first to enter the education market.
The new anti-cheat software tool is located at about 16,000 schools and universities in 140 countries and allows educators to check submitted documents against their databases for plagiarism.
