At the end of October, when I considered taking the GMAT, it didn't cross my mind.
I had the idea of enrolling in an academy to do a preparation course.
I bought a GMAT book that had good reviews and started reading it.

Thanks to this I learned that GMAT has three parts, one for writing, one for math and one for verbal.

“The mathematical part did not worry me, I have studied industrial engineering
and I have always liked numbers and have been good at them. the verbal part
yes it scared me when I saw what it was. My English level is very good.
but the "sentence correction" part seemed impossible to me, all the
answers seemed the same to me and well!

It was then that I began to think about signing up for a course, the main
reason was to find help to prepare the verbal part and the second reason
was that I didn't want to spend a lot of time on GMAT, it was November and
I had to get a good GMAT score before January 15, the date on which the deadline to submit the application to the Master that interested me ended.

I started the GMAT preparation course in Técnicas Lingüísticas Aplicadas the
November 2 and I took the Test on December 22 and got a score of 690. In a month and a half I had achieved my goal!!!

I don't think it's impossible to get a good grade in the GMAT if you prepare it on your own, but I think that preparing for this exam, after a long and hard day of work, without the help of professionals wears you out a lot and you invest much more time. Techniques Applied Linguistics It helped me not only to prepare the Verbal part,
which was the most complicated for me, but also in the mathematical part they taught me many “tricks”  extremely helpful. One of the difficulties of GMAT is the limited time available to answer the questions, in the course you learn a very effective methodology that helps you a lot at the time of the exam.
I am very happy to have prepared myself with the course of Linguistic Techniques.
