IELTS: Speaking Section
The differences between the section of IELTS Speaking and of TOEFL Speaking they are remarkable. Below we detail how each of them are:
IELTS TEST: You will be with an examiner and this section will be recorded. Approximate duration between 11 and 15 minutes and is divided into three parts:
Interview: The examiner introduces himself and asks about general topics such as family, tastes, hobbies… Duration: approx. 5 minutes.

2. Conversation: The examiner presents a topic and you must develop it. You can use pencil and paper in case you need to take notes and one minute to think.
During two minutes you develop the topic and then the examiner will ask you a couple of questions about your conversation.
Duration: 3-4 minutes
3. Debate: On the subject of the previous section, a debate between examinee and examiner.
Duration: 4-5 minutes
TOEFL: Speaking Section
It is done entirely by computer and will also be recorded. The oral test lasts approximately 20 minutes divided into two types of questions:

1. Independent: Short questions about personal issues, opinions and ideas (two tasks).
On the other hand, freelance tasks have to do with your ease of speaking, and not the way you process information. This means communicating clearly.
2. Integrated: Academic subjects. It is called that because the Reading, Writing and Listening sections are integrated into them.
This part of the test has to do with your abilities to find the main ideas in a text or lecture, and to be able to follow a class with ease. Finally, a series of short questions will be asked about the topic that has been discussed previously.
