{"id":10433,"date":"2015-07-08T12:04:16","date_gmt":"2015-07-08T10:04:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gmatbarcelona.com\/?p=10433"},"modified":"2026-04-22T17:18:46","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T15:18:46","slug":"gmat-exam-important-changes-will-take-effect-on-july-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gmatbarcelona.com\/en\/gmat\/gmat-exam-important-changes-will-take-effect-on-july-19","title":{"rendered":"The GMAT exam: 2 important changes will take effect on July 19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>the <strong>&quot;C&quot;<\/strong> that represents a candidate&#039;s canceled scores in gmat exam will not be shown on any future <strong>GMAT<\/strong> score reports generated by <strong><a title=\"new features gmat exam\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mba.com\/global\/the-gmat-blog-hub\/the-official-gmat-blog\/2015\/june\/july-19-new-gmat-exam-features.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GMAC<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The GMAT exam&#039;s Score Preview feature allows you to make the choice to report or cancel your GMAT score immediately following your sitting of the GMAT exam. In the interest of increasing control and confidence for test takers, canceled GMAT scores will no longer be included on a candidate&#039;s school report. This change will be effective on <strong>July 19, 2015<\/strong>. When a test taker cancels their score, only the test taker will know.<\/li>\n<li>The removal of the <strong>&quot;C&quot;<\/strong> on score reports will be retroactively applied. Any score cancellations done prior <strong>toJuly 19, 2015<\/strong> will not be included in score reports sent to schools after <strong>July 19, 2015<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>GMAC<\/strong> cannot remove the \u201cC\u201d designation in school databases from score reports sent to schools prior <strong>toJuly 19, 2015<\/strong>. If the candidate chooses to send another score report, the new report will not include the canceled scores. Also, only test scores canceled by the candidate will be removed from score reports. <strong>GMAC <\/strong>will continue to report other types of score cancellations, including technical issues or policy violations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Repeat exams allowed after 16 days<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Candidates have the option to retake the <strong>GMAT exam after a 16-day<\/strong> time period (versus the current <strong>31-day<\/strong> retake period). This allows candidates the flexibility to retake the exam within a shorter period of time in order to accommodate their schedules, study habits, peak performance times, and\/or school deadlines. As always, candidates can&#039;t exceed five GMAT exams within a <strong>12-month period<\/strong>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The \u201cC\u201d that represents a
